2024 events COMING SOON

The Spark Change Project is a strategic collaboration between Girls Empowerment Network and Excellence and Advancement Foundation. Each fall and winter, a new cohort of high school aged girls of color, Peer Facilitators, are recruited, hired, on-boarded, and trained. Together, they discover their activist voices, create a policy agenda, and galvanize their peers to engage in their own passions for positive social change. Once they are trained, they host a number of public events impacting other girls in grades 6-12: Town Halls, issue forums, and an advocacy day at the State Capitol, all themed around activism and change-making, between February and May, with Spark Change Camp held in June as the culminating programmatic element.

Our 2024 cohort of Spark Change Project Peer Facilitators will be recruited and hired October-December of 2023. Stay tuned to our “join the team” page for more information.
